About Keya
I started my real estate journey in the early 2000s by buying a home in Austin, Texas while attending UT Austin to study electrical engineering. At the time, I worked for a real estate office where I learned the real estate business.
Over the years, I invested in multiple lucrative investment properties while working as a Realtor in Austin, TX, for a decade. I practiced real estate as a seller agent, buyer agent, flipper, general contractor, interior designer, and property manager.
To add a stronger business background, I decided to attend graduate school to obtain my master’s in business administration at UCLA between 2019 and 2021. Attending UCLA MBA school was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I learned many business and leadership concepts throughout the program, met amazing classmates and business leaders in multiple industries, and gained knowledge and confidence in my business acumen.
In 2022, following the trends in the market, I experimented with Airbnb. That experiment was mediocre. I learned that if the house is owner-occupied, it presents a set of challenges. My general decision was that it was not the best business model for my lifestyle.
Since 2023, I have been researching and getting involved in investing in multifamily properties. Multifamily properties are considered five units and higher.
A little about my personal life! I’m a car and motorcycle enthusiast. I enjoy repairing my cars, performing maintenance, or upgrading parts. Cars represent certain aspects of the American lifestyle. I also see cars as a piece of art and ultimate ingenuity. My favorite book of all time is Give and Take by Adam Grant. I enjoy a good debate to learn from diverse thoughts.
Don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss anything related to real estate.
